Anaheim, Calif. – March 21, 2012 – The past two weekends have been most eventful for GBC Motorsports and their racing efforts. Along with the first two rounds of the 2012 GNCC season, GBC is being represented by riders in both the 2012 WORCS ATV season and the 2012 Yamaha Quad-X Series.
Dylan Dixon leads the way for GBC Motorsports’ west coast racing efforts. The weekend of March 10-11 marked the first and second rounds of the Yamaha Quad-X Series. Dixon finished 1st and 3rd in Saturday’s opening round at Glen Helen Raceway for an overall 2nd place. The following day, Dixon battled for a 3rd place in the first moto of Round 2 but struggled to find his groove in the second moto. He finished 8th for an overall 6th place on the day, putting him in 3rd in the Pro/Am points standings.
“Sunday gave me motivation to work harder going into Round 3 of WORCS this weekend in Lake Havasu and for Round 3 of Quad-X next month at Competitive Edge in Hesperia,” Dylan said following the Quad-X races.
Round 3 of the 2012 WORCS ATV season took racers to Lake Havasu, Nevada. GBC Motorsports driver Kayla Smith finished 3rd in the SxS Production 700 class aboard her Dirt Commander tires. She is now in 2nd in the standings following two early podium finishes this season.
Taylor George pulled the holeshot in her row in the SxS Production 1000 class, also using Dirt Commander tires.
Pro-Am ATV racer Dylan Dixon battled his way from a mid-pack start and ended up 6th on his Race Rex tires. He is currently in 4th place in the points battle after three rounds of racing.
The third round of the Yamaha Quad-X Racing Series is slated for Sunday, April 22nd at Competitive Edge in Hesperia, California. The fourth round of the 2012 WORCS ATV is scheduled for April 13-15 at Speed World MX in Surprise, AZ.
